My pc won’t hibernate automatically?
So, I’m at the power options.
Power scheme is set to “portable/laptop”
(This is an HP laptop with XP)
there are 8 different places to set a times, all are set to 30 mins or less. I can make it hibernate manually by pressing the power button
then to bring it back it, I hit it again and it will say “resuming windows”
…and then show how many programs are running. I then click on the profile at it comes back. This takes about 10-15 seconds
if I wait for it to hibernate automatically, it will just do a screensaver and I don’t have to go through the steps above; it just comes back within about a second with 10+ programs/webpages running
you should never put Ur PC on hibernate it damages your hardware not good for your computer at all if you want your computer to sleep shut it down completely
