Windows Xp Screensaver Not Working

How do I enable standby mode on Windows XP?

When I click on Turn Off Computer, the StandBy mode is in gray meaning i cant click on it. Ive tried looking for it on the screensaver options/power saver menus and its not there, neither is the hibernate option. Ive tired BIOS but i cant find anything besides ’standby options with plugged in wireless’ something or the other, i cant remember. Do i need to find drivers for this? My brother is a computer IT dude but you know them, they dont want to work at home after work unless its for money :/ so basically im on my own. He recently gave me this computer so i could upgrade from my old junky 1900’s model and i think he gutted all the drivers and such. There was nothing on here but windows and some basics. Can anyone help?
