Does anyone know where I can download a free Video Editing Programme for the following uses?
I would like to do the following with a few videos (in quicktime or wmv format) that I can taken with my digital camera:
1. rotate the video (I took some of them the wrong way round and wants to rotate the whole thing)
2. Add subtitles
3. Make several videos into one long video
4. Add transitional effects between videos (including an ending credit like text)
5. Add background music/tracks
6. Extract only part of a video/Capture a screenshot
7. Alter the speed of the playback of videos in the extracts
Is there a free video editing programme that can do all/most of the above? If so where I can download it?

you need at least 5 programs to do what you want, 1st–mov to avi converter, it will change it to avi, mpeg and it will also change the frame rate, it can also join video together, 2nd— audacity123 you can find out how long your movie will be then get a sound track and cut it down to fit or even add extra tracks together, there are also filters to add sound effects, 3rd— tmpgenc, that will transcode video into mpeg and set the bit rate so a dvd player can understand it, 4th–either dvdlab, vegas, ulead to author the video and sound tracks, you can even put multi tracks and they will run together, you can add transitions and even put the backgrounds supplied or make your own, then when you have got it right, compile it to ts files, dvdlab is the easiest to use, 5th— ace mega codec pack, it has all the codecs you will need and there are some tools in it to help, one vobsub, will rotate video 180 degrese, just do a search on google for them, also any of the dvd players like ulead for the computer has got a screen capture button on them, just remember where they get saved
