UT Football Game–Camera Question?
I’ve got tickets to the UT Football game next week against Arkansas. It’s my first Longhorn game (yay!) so I was checking out the rules on what I can and cannot bring to the game. Their website said that I could bring any camera as long as it wasn’t a professional with detachable lenses. Darnit! That’s my hobby–I was hoping to get some really good pictures with my Nikon D80 (which is professional). I’ve been to Colts games before, and I know they’re NFL, but people brought their cameras to those. So if I bring it will they confiscate it, or is it just one of those rules no one pays much attention to? Because I went to a concert this year with the exact same rule and no one cared, and I later regretted not being able to take pictures. Please let me know if it’s a good idea to leave my camera home this time. Thanks!
They don’t confiscate cameras, but they might stop you at the gate. The professionals are issued press passes to take pictures.
