I want to replace door seal on a Candy Activa 101 plus washing machine?
The door seal has just shredded, and I want to fit a replacement one. I managed to get the old seal out, but I am not sure how I can get the wire clamp that goes around the seal on securely. As fast as I try to fit it on the wire comes off again. (I was trying the proceedure first before I put a new replacement seal on) Does the inner edge of the gasket tuck under the rim? or is it the outside of the rim? before I tighten it in place. There is not much room, as I am trying to do it just in the port hole. Has anyone ever attempted this procedure? and how is it done please?
At the back of the washer at the top should be a screw at the corner take them out then push the top from the front to the back and the top should slide off which gives you access inside the front panel. You should be able to see the lip on the front panel that the wire fits around. Hope this works for you.
