I am going to download a photoshop picture editing program. How could I burn it to a DVD?
this would depend on what you want to burn to the DVD.
if you want to burn the photoshop disc then obtain an image and use a burner program to burn that image onto the DVD.
if you want to burn the program itself onto disc(which is what I assume you want to do) than you need to do a bit more work.
first you’ll want to install the program to a location on a thumb drive or other external media device. after that you need to find a document that contains the runtime files. I’m not sure what it would be called but it will contain the location of where photoshop is installed. you need to edit that document so that instead saying (“E://…”) it instead says (“%curdirectory/…”). the brackets aren’t there but the quotes will be. also the … will refer to a file path.
there may be more than one mention of the drive, and the drive might not be the E:// drive, but hopefully you get the idea.
after that is done you want to test photoshop to make sure it works. just run it normally. if it doesn’t work than I made a mistake in the script change and you need to use a different command. hopefully that won’t happen.
if it does work than burn the entire folder that photoshop is installed to onto the dvd, keeping the filepath there as well.
ex. if it is installed to “E://program files/photoshop8/”than add the folder program files; inside add the folder photoshop8; and burn the folder into there. this will keep the code you changed earlier working correctly.
after it is burned pop out the disc, remove the external media, pop the disc back in and test it. if it doesn’t work send me the error and I’ll try to see what’s wrong.
