help my TI 84 plus wont download an update?
i need some help. im trying to download TI 84 plus family operating system v 2.53 and whenever i try to download it says “this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Create an association in the set associations control panel.” i dont know where the set associations control panel is. yes i have ti connect. what do i do?
It sounds like you double-click on the .8xu file in an attempt to “open” it. If you had read the instructions, that’s not what you’re supposed.
Assuming TI-Connect can properly detect your calculator when it’s turned on and connected to your computer, all you really have to do is drag the .8xu file into TI-Connect, whether it be in the TI-DeviceExplorer interface or the desktop shortcut. The transfer should then begin.
Make sure you definitely want v2.53MP on your calculator though; the MathPrint functionality can be a bit buggy at times. I know, I have it. Personally I would have waited until a patch was released by it doesn’t sound like it’ll be here for a while. (I’m still amazed that TI decided to update the TI-84 Plus OS.)
