what is the best family camera(for still pictures) to buy?
I am replacing an old instamatic camera that my mother-in-law gave me and my wife a day before our honeymoon, almost 12 years ago. I now have 3 kids, who are into sports. We travel as a family at least twice a year. Considering how our first family camera lasted, I am thinking of investing enough money to make the camera worthwhile to have and will be appropriate in preserving memories with my kids.
Oh how cute! My family (mom, dad, brother, me) has 3 digital cameras, which I think is the best kind of camera for your family. We have a Samsung Digimax S500. The model we have has 5.1 megapixels, 3x optical zoom, and a 2. 4″ LCD screen. It works great and easy enough for your kids to use. We got it for about $140.00 full price but at Wal-Mart it was on sale when we got it for like $120.00. They have silver, black, red for the choice colors. Another we have is a Kodak Easyshare C653 that I got from my godparent. It has a 2.4 inch screen and 6.1 megapixels. I have no idea how much the camera was, but it has great features and I highly recommend it. It is also easy enough for your kids. The third one is most expenisive but would be nice for you and your wife. Its a Sony Cybershot with 7.2 mega pixels. its a cute looking camera and is also easy enough for your older kids. It was some $150.00 or so for the camera but I would have bought this camera if I were you. It has a reasonable price.
