need help applying new screensaver HELP!!!?
i downloaded a new scrensaver called Rat paws screensaver 1.1. but every website i go to with this FREE screensaver..it downloads and saves into a compressed zipped folder and for the life of me i cannot figure out how to apply it as my screensaver. i open it and it gives me a preview but thats as far as i can figure it out! HELP!!!
When you open the zip file, there should be a file with the extension .scr. Extract that, and, depending on your OS (which you failed to mention), either right-click on it to install it, or copy it into your C:Windowssystem32 folder. Then, when you right-click on the desktop and choose Properties (or Personalize or what-have-you), under Screensavers, you should find your new one.
If what you extract is an .exe file, then you’ll just need to double-click on it and it should install itself.
